Our Next Sensory Showing will be the Saturday after Thanksgiving 11/29 11AM

We know that you will have the whole family in! Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and extended family.
We invite all of them to join us for our next Sensory Friendly film showing.
Going to the movies Thanksgiving weekend can be a Family tradition and this is one that the ENTIRE family can enjoy.

The Sensory Friendly environment makes for a comfortable no pressure movie experience. Just like watching a movie at home!  Plus, you get to meet and hang out with other families making new friends along the way.  We hope you will put us in your plans this Thanksgiving week!  All the details are listed below.

The Galleria 14 in Beckley and “Down with That” – The Down Syndrome Family Support Group of Southern West Virginia invite  families affected by Down Syndrome, Autism, and other disabilities to enjoy the film Penguins of Madagascar  in a safe and accepting environment with the “Sensory Friendly Films” program.  Saturday November 29th  at 11:00 AM . Matinee pricing applies. Headphones and apparatus accommodations available upon request.

In order to provide a more accepting and comfortable setting for this unique audience, the movie auditoriums will have their lights brought up and the sound turned down, families will be able to bring in their own gluten-free, casein-free snacks, and no previews or advertisements will be shown before the movie. Additionally, audience members are welcome to get up and dance, walk, shout or sing along- unless the safety of the audience is questioned.

This is an EVENT showing with activities, games and more from 11-2 in the lobby as well!
